After the "really hard" training in the Ebro river (see the post below this one), our hosts Carlos and Txutxo decided to invite Juanjo and me to a dinner based of lamb steaks. They used then the most rustic (and the most eficient too) b-b-q I've ever seen in all my life: just a bended metal sheet. They put some firewood on it and we soon enjoyed a warm live coals.

There's not really new indeed, it was just a simple b-b-q. The shock came after the steaks were well done, when Txutxo took a "brasero" and put the live coals left inside of it. Then he put the whole set under the table we were going to have our dinner. I had heard about "braseros" but I considered them as a mostly medieval tool but now I've tried one I must tell that it is a very nice heater for cold rooms.
En cuanto a las chuletas de cordero, estaban tan buenas que decidí esperar al final de la cena para confesar que soy vegetariano ;-).
Regarding lamb steaks, they were so tasty I waited till the dinner's end to confess I'm vegetarian ;-).

Pues por aquí por el sur lo del "braserito" y la "mesa camilla", como la de la foto, es como un ritual. Según la gente que vive en la casa va llegando del frío de fuera, se va acomodando alrededor de la citada mesa y se forman tertulias de lo más interesantes. Lo malo es q te puede dar el síndrome braseril y morir todos los presentes de inanición porque no haya "huevos" (con perdón... con lo fina q era yo!!!) de levantarse a preparar algo a la gélida cocina.
