Es una pena que la feria del libro antiguo y de ocasión solo se celebre una vez al año porque es una fuente inagotable de placer para un lector compulsivo. Hace un par de años escribí un minireportaje sobre esta feria, el cual pego aquí mismo por si a alguien le apetece leerlo (la maquetación y las fotos son de Hugo).
I wish they hold used books markets more often because I find them really pleasant for compulsive readers. A couple of years ago I wrote a quite nice article about these type of markets. I paste it here too just in case someone wants to read it (sorry, available in spanish only).
En todos los años que llevo asistiendo a esta feria jamás he visto faltar el stand de los minilibros. Estas sorprendentes ediciones de los clásicos en formato superreducido, unido al desparpajo del peruano que los vende, son un desafío para la mesura del consumista cultural. Reconozco que aún no he leído ninguno, a pesar de que he comprado varios, porque la letra es también muy pequeñita, claro. Pero el patrón vagabundo ya se va haciendo poco a poco con una pequeña biblioteca fácil de transportar en el velero para hacer más amenas las travesías largas ;-).
Along all these years I'm attending this market I've never missed the mini-books stand. These amazing superreduced issues of classics and not-so-classics, added to the very friendly peruvian who sells them, are a powerful attraction point to culture consumers. I reckon that I haven't read anyone yet (despite I bought a few ones) just because the printed characters are quite small also. Anyway, the trampskipper is keeping, step by step, a mini-library, easy to transport in a sailboat in order to get some enjoy during the long oceanic travels ;-).
