Sanviorama

Hay dos habilidades culturales que no logro desarrollar: la música y el dibujo. De la primera al menos logré aprender la teoría de los 3 acordes y, más o menos, puedo rascar una guitarra durante un par de minutos antes de que la gente me arroje por la ventana. Pero de la segunda... es mejor que ni siquiera hable. Quizá por eso he sentido siempre una admiración sin límites por los dibujantes y el mundo de la historieta gráfica.
There are two cultural skills that I'm not able to learn: music and drawing. Resgarding the first, I can say that, at least, could barely understand the "3 chords theory" and now I can scratch the guitar for two minutes before being expulsed throw the window. Regarding the second one... I better shut up. Probably because of that, I've always felt a strong admire towards cartoonists, drawers and the graphical artists, in general.

Pablo, uno de mis muchos amigos relacionados con las artes gráficas, me llamó para visitar juntos la exposición que Alex "Sanvi" ha montado estos días en el emblemático bar Satistegi de Getxo. Y alli fuimos y nos unimos a la banda de ilustradores, comiqueros y adláteres que conforman el público de este tipo de eventos.
Pablo, one of my many artist friends, called me yesterday to attend together the art exhibition by Alex "Sanvi", held during these days in the carismatic Satistegi bar at Getxo. So there we went and joined the group of illustrators, cartoonists and related-to-art people who usually come to these events.

Y fijaos si somos un público agradecido y abnegado que no peleamos por los deliciosos pinchos y el vino que nos sirvieron (que es lo que pasa siempre en las entregas de premios de las regatas) sino que nos entregamos a la contemplación diletante de la obra acompañada de conversación inteligente, para variar.
Notice we're such a grateful and dedicated public that we don't even fight for the delicious spanish ommelete and red wine served as catering (that's what always happens in the sailing race prizegivings ;-)) but we just enjoy a dilettante contemplation of the artworks wrapped by a sharp chatting, instead.
