Tras volver de Barcelona y dejar a Helena con su madre apenas tuve tiempo de echar un vistazo al Lady Chatterley y me puse en camino inmediatamente hacia Madrid. El viaje en autobús desde Bilbao a Madrid es muy aburrido y realmente no hay gran cosa que contar. Back from Barcelona I left Helena with her mother and I just had time enough to take a look to Lady Chatterley before following my way to Madrid, inmediately after. The travel Bilbao-Madrid by bus is as boring as counting your toes.
Fue una suerte que mi inquieto hermano Albar, Dios le bendiga por muchos años, me enviara este interesantísimo documento de su puño y letra en el que da la respuesta definitiva al enigma que planteé a mi peluquero Agustín (ver la entrada Erreka).
Fortunately, my restless brother Albar, God bless him for long years, sent this superinteresting document to me, giving the definitive answer to the problem I stated to my hairdresser Agustin (see the post Erreka).
En aquella entrada le preguntaba a Agustín acerca de la longitud que se cubriría con los pelos que había cortado en su vida si se pusieran uno detrás de otro. Albar prometió que lo calcularía (para eso es un científico de los que salen en las películas que lo mismo te fabrican unas nubes, que te diseccionan un organismo alienígena o te explican el rebote de las ondas hertzianas en la troposfera) y ha cumplido.
In that post I asked Agustin about how many kilometers the hairs he had cut in his life would run along putting them in a row. Albar promised he would calculate it (he is that movie style scientific who is able to build clouds, or to analize a alien body, or to explain the behaviour of hertz waves in the troposphere) and he did it.
Aquí está la demostración manuscrita, que me hizo el viaje mucho más entretenido, sobre todo por la comparación de las distancias. Por favor, si hay algún grafólogo entre los lectores.. ¿sería tan amable de hacernos una descripción psicológica del autor?Here you can find his handwritten demostration. The non spanish speakers can just read the numbers, the upper number is the optimistic calculation and the lower one is the realistic calculation. It made my trip much more amusing, specially when I compared the distances. Is there any graphologyst in the room? if any... would he be so kind to make a psychologic profile of the author, please?
